PhotonDelta, an industry accelerator for the photonic chip industry based in the Netherlands, appointed Old Street to handle PR for the funding announcement of over €1.1 billion of funding investment to fuel a six-year initiative.
The solution
With media coverage secured for the funding announcement in Tier 1 outlets, including Bloomberg and Tech.EU, as well as extensive coverage in other top trade titles, Old Street has continued to work with PhotonDelta to highlight the work that it is doing in the photonics sector in both Europe and the US.
This has included supporting PhotonDelta with profile raising for the PIC Summit Europe, a leading event for the photonic chip industry, inviting key journalists and securing high-profile media for the conference, including coverage in Reuters, as well as interviews for key spokespeople.
The PR programme has also involved media outreach on behalf of a number of the startups that PhotonDelta works with, drafting press releases for key announcements and building relationships with relevant journalists. This has included coverage for MantiSpectra, New Origin and QuiX Quantum, as well as the launch of PhotonVentures, a venture capital fund aimed at early-stage photonic chip startups and scale ups in Europe, which was featured by Sifted and other major industry titles.
